Kwanamo Relocation

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who do you help?

Everyone moving: families, single parents, couples and people moving on their own. Most clients are moving to the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex from another state or country, and many have never lived in Texas and want a calm, trustworthy guide while they decide where to live.

What does a relocation consultant do?

I help you understand the metroplex, narrow down neighborhoods and suburbs that fit your commute, budget, schools and lifestyle, plan your apartment search, join virtual tours, and coordinate move-in details. When you need a licensed professional to lease or buy, I partner you with trusted, licensed Texas real estate agents. I charge flat consulting fees, from a $149 Strategy Call to the $1,149 Move-In Concierge package, plus $85 per hour for extras. See Services and pricing.

How much do your services cost?

Packages are flat fees: Strategy Call $149, Area Match Report $349, Virtual Area Tour $649 and Move-In Concierge $1,149, with extra time at $85 per hour. Fees are for consulting only. Licensed partner agents who handle leasing or buying are typically paid by landlords or sellers, and I never take referral fees. The first 15-minute call is free.

Are you a licensed real estate agent?

Not yet. I am currently studying for my Texas real estate license. Kwanamo Relocation is a relocation consulting firm, not a brokerage or apartment locator. Any leasing or home-buying services are provided by independent, licensed Texas real estate agents I partner you with.

Can you help me buy a home?

Yes. I help you narrow down suburbs and neighborhoods, then partner you with a trusted, licensed Texas buyer’s agent who knows that area well. The agent handles the purchase; I stay alongside you as your relocation guide.

Can you show me apartments if I am still out of state?

I can show you neighborhoods. Live video area tours are a big part of what I do: the streets, parks, grocery stores and commute, with notes the same day. Tours of specific apartments or homes are done by the licensed partner agents I introduce you to.

How far ahead should I start?

For apartments, about 30 to 60 days before your move date works well, because most communities only hold units a few weeks out. For buying, start two to four months ahead so you have time to get pre-approved and visit.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole metroplex, with deep notes on Uptown and Downtown Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Irving and Las Colinas, Prosper, Anna, Fort Worth, Arlington and Grand Prairie. See the DFW Neighborhood Guide.

Do you help with moving to Germany?

Not yet. A Germany relocation service is coming soon. If you would like to hear when it opens, mention it in the contact form.
